Civic Committee
Our
This Committee’s purpose is to fight prejudice, build interaction understanding by improving communication, collaborating with existing efforts or initiating new ones and developing positive race relations throughout Blount County. The committee forged a Covenant for a better community with local Law Enforcement agencies and BCU to prevent hate crimes from occurring in our community. Additionally, ACT Leadership Program has been launched with the mission to solve community problems through civic activism and engagement, and to build a new generation of community and political leaders.
